ACRL-OR awards two scholarships to the ACRL Washington and Oregon Joint Fall Conference annually. The scholarship covers the registration fee for the conference, which includes room and board, plus a $30 remittance to assist in covering travel expenses.
An OLA Member or willing to join before Fall Conference
A Librarian working in an Oregon library or a student in an ALA-accredited library program living in Oregon
A First-time attendee of Fall Conference
Application Process
Complete the online application form, which includes a written essay (500 words maximum) outlining your reasons for wanting to attend the conference and your interest in academic libraries.
Deadline
Applications are due the second Friday of September.
Scholarship recipients will be announced the first week of October.
E-learning Scholarships
A minimum of two scholarships are awarded annually (not to exceed $1,500 in total) to reimburse the cost of training, courses, seminars, and other learning opportunities delivered online. The focus is on significant (usually multi-week) learning programs, but they may be synchronous or asynchronous, self-paced, or instructor-led. Links to E-learning Providers Scholarship Winners

Preference given to applicants who have not previously received a scholarship from ACRL-OR
Ineligible:Current ACRL-OR Board Members.
Application Process
Complete the online application form, which includes a written essay (500 words maximum) on how the course meets your professional needs and goals as well as how it contributes to ACRL-OR's purpose of promoting the development of Oregon's academic libraries
