| In order to be considered for the list, books must have been published in the two years prior to the distribution of the new Book Rave list. So, for example, the 2005 Book Rave can only include books published in 2004 or 2003. Beyond that, nominations depend upon what the nominator thinks teens in Oregon will like to read or have been reading with enthusiasm. Teens are encouraged to submit nominations! Votes for favorite titles can be submitted by email prior to our quarterly meeting in January, where those votes will be tallied along with those cast by attendees at the meeting. In order to vote for a title, the voter must have read the book. The list is then published and distributed at the OLA annual conference in April and made available for reproduction from the OYAN website. |
