The following minutes of the ACRL-Oregon Membership Meeting are provided for informational purposes only. This is not intended to be a formal report.

I. Anne Christie, who is on the nominating committee for officers for OLA, requested
suggestions for nominations. Candidates who are politically astute and are strong advocates for libraries are needed to run for president. The slate of candidates needs to be complete for presentation at OLA in April.

ACRL-OR sponsored a lawyer to attend the Lawyers for Libraries conference in October.

III. The new logo was presented. Anne Christie noted there is no reference to OLA on the new
logo. It was noted that the old logo did not have any reference to OLA. Since the logo is already designed, this can be addressed by adding a line on letterhead indicating OLA-Academic Division.

IV. Two scholarships to Menucha 2004 will be awarded next year.

V. Programming proposals for OLA, April 14-16, 2004 were summarazied.

VI. Members were asked if there were any issues to be addressed or any questions about plans for the use of chapter funds. Members introduced themselves by name, specialty, and institution. ACRL-OR Board members have participated successfully in career fairs to market the library profession. Participation by ACRL-OR members in future career fairs is encouraged.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
