OLA Quarterly

The Communications Committee has a designated OLAQ Coordinator to organize and manage the production of OLA's official journal, the OLA Quarterly (OLAQ). Each issue focuses on a theme or topic of interest to the Oregon library community. These ideas come from OLA members and the Communications Committee works to match the ideas with guest editor(s).

The OLAQ is published four times a year and is mailed to current members. The OLAQ is indexed by Library Literature & Information Science and Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts. To view PDFs of all OLAQ issues, visit the OLAQ Archive. Full text is also available through HW Wilson's Library Literature and Information Science Full Text and EBSCO Publishing's Library, Information Science and Technology Abstracts (LISTA) with Full Text.

The OLAQ offers members a great opportunity to gain experience with professional writing and editing. Please contact us with your issue theme ideas, or to volunteer as guest editor or nominate someone else. Guest editors should be OLA members.

The Communications Committee also handles publication of OLA's online newsletter, the OLA Hotline.
