Requirements:

Must be a member of OLA/Academic Division (ACRL-Oregon)

Term:

Serves a two year term

Duties:

• Facilitates knowledge of and involvement in local, state and federal public policy issues for the ACRL-OR Board and its membership
• Serves as an ex-officio member of the OLA Library Development and Legislative Committee
• Liaison to ACRL National Legislative Network
• Monitors OLA's Legislative Agenda
• Monitors ACRL National's Washington Watch
• Represent academic librarians at ALA Legislative Day as part of the Oregon contingent
• Distributes notices to ACRL-OR membership, via the Chapter's email list and/or blog, regarding legislative issues affecting college and research libraries and higher education generally
• Advises ACRL-OR Board on legislative issues
• Provides an annual report to the ACRL-Oregon President
